They say time flies when you are having fun and this season is certainly going very quickly. We have had the best weather in the UK for over 40 years.
We can't believe that it is the end of August already and with only two months left until we close for the Winter, we can't believe that 5 months have gone already, but we hope you have all enjoyed it as much as we have!!
The Season started off very wet with a lot of April showers, then May came and bought the sunshine, the sunshine continued through the Summer and we have had lots of fun!
Our Events and Activities have been fantastic this year, starting with our Welcome Back BBQ on 31st March where everyone got to meet up with their Cosgrove Park friends.
Easter was an early one this year with Easter Sunday falling on the 1st April, we had over 180 children taking part in our fantastic Easter Egg Hunt, with Mia Easton age 6, winning the Easter Hamper.
On April 14th we introduced a Segway Experience for the first time on the Park, with over 175 customers taking part, twisting & turning around our Event Field, it was great to see so many having a go.
May Bank Holiday Saturday was the launch of our New S6 Finmaster/150hp Yamaha 4 Stroke Powerboat onto Swan Lake with us offering Speedboat Rides to all of our customers, with over 350 people enjoying the exhilarating experience. So lovely to see all of our families being able to enjoy activities all together ……………… Quality family time here at Cosgrove Park.
With the weather still being kind to us on the Sunday, we followed our Speedboat Rides with Land Zorbing, twisting, flipping and rolling around the Event Field with over 200 children and adults having fun !!!
Twice a year during May and September we opened the doors for a weekend giving non-residents the opportunity to see what our delightful Park has to offer, including a range of beautiful holiday homes for sale. We had over 150 families visit us on these 2 days, all hopefully wanting to return to us as a customer or resident sometime in the future.
The weather continued to be fantastic during our next lots of activities, May Bank Holiday Weekend, with Aqua Zorbing on the Saturday and a Hovercraft Experience on the Sunday making this weekend full of fun in the sun at Cosgrove Park!!!!! with over 275 customers participating on each event.
Now into the third month of our Season, the weather was fantastic to us for our 4 events for June, sun, sun and more sun !!!!
We started June with the Mini Land Rover Experience with over 200 children having a drive around the Event Field. Spider Mountain then followed with lots of Spider Girls & Spider Boys enjoying it ………….. we even had some Spider Mum's & Spider Dad's having a go!!!!
Then with Father's Day falling on a Sunday it was a great opportunity for children to bring their dad's along to share this wonderful experience together "Air Rifle Shooting" with over 100 families taking part.
Now onto our last Event for June, we decided to do a team challenge between our residents with a Raft Building task, to design and construct your own raft before taking to the water ……….. well lets just say "good fun was had by all" !!!
First prize went to "The Tidmas/Burch" raft
And the prize for the "Most Entertaining" went to the 5 x Rogers Students/Morrish raft - their raft may have fell apart within 1 minute of them entering the water, but that didn't stop them, with grit and determination on completing the challenge!!!
That rounds up the first three month of our Season here at Cosgrove Park.
